The Seniors Festival here in Hawks Nest hosted by the Hawks Nest and Tea Gardens Progress Association was a very successful day.
The weather stayed dry and an enthusiastic group of stallholders, participants and customers made it interesting and busy.
The Myall Koala and Environment stall looked excellent thanks to the new display stand and photos.
We sold $420 of raffle tickets and the visitors put $128 in our donation bucket. A wonderful contribution for us and a few enquiries were made for membership and lots of discussion about koalas and development in the area.
Thank you to the members who came and helped out including Beth, Benny, Jane and Laurie, Judy and Dudley.
A great positive buzz and good to see so many in the community out and about.
Most importantly for our Group, there was interaction with the community about the work we do with our endangered koala population, the environment in general and inappropriate development in town such as the proposal on the land adjacent to the Golf Club.
