The number and diversity of shorebirds in the Myall coast area surprised the 30 people who attended an illustrated talk by the Myall Koala & Environment Group (MKEG) at Tea Gardens Hotel on 19 August 2025.

Treasurer Trish Blair reported on the many varieties of birds recorded and photographed along the river from Swans Bay to Corrie island  herself and photographer Sharon Taylor.

This presentation covers the 2024 Spring/Summer season of observations and data gathering collected over 20 kayak trips between August and January.

After the session, 13 members of MKEG held their quarterly meeting.
